The refined Sylva necklace features an Italian medallion in solid Sterling Vermeil showing a group of doves drinking water, evoking nature in peace. Inspired by one of the finest 'micro mosaics' to survive nearly two millennium from the classical era to modern day, the medallion was cast from an 18th century bas relief. Nearly 100 individual elements hang from the necklace worked with sterling silver wire on a brass-leaved chain with precious faceted and colored fresh-water pearls and semi-precious garnet 'berry' beads.  Additionally, the necklace has a handmade and antiqued sterling vermeil clasp in the shape of natural leaves.  An exceptionally feminine necklace.
