This very unusual cuff is made of 7 different materials and 5 separate artisans skills are required to obtain the unusual, eclectic comination.  The cuff portion of the bracelet is made of pure '1000' silver containing a higher percentage of silver than sterling. Pure silver is softer than sterling and this allows the artisan to create the unique bas relief in Greek, 'nothing is sweeter than love, no treasure more precious, even honey is bitter in comparison' by the ancient poet 'Nossis', a woman who wrote poetry 2500 years ago, fragments of which have survived to modern day.  The skull, in resin mixed with stone powder, is hand set with 26 delicate champagne colored fine diamonds for a total of over a quarter carat of diamonds and is attached to the pure silver bracelet with a hand made sterling silver bezel.  Surrounding the skull is a 'picture frame' in Sterling vermeil attached to the bracelet with gold filled studs.  The bracelet is lined in leather, has a high-tech steel band internally for strength and an unusual ebony and sterling silver closure.  The skull represents the 'memento mori' theme in jewelry design, a centuries old motif present to remind the wearer to live well and enjoy life. One-of-a-kind piece.
