Janus Amulet Ring with Greek Poem Band

$225.00

Janus amulet ring with greek poem band. In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces, since he looks to the past and to the future. This image was often used on ancient roman coinage. The band is inscribed with a 2500 year old ancient greek poem by the female poet 'Nossis'. The inscription reads, “Nothing is sweeter than love, no treasure more precious, even honey I spit from my mouth.”

Available in sterling silver.
